Hawariyat Hospital, located in Mihur Aklil Woreda in the Gurage Zone, was built to serve thousands of residents across the region. Despite eight years of construction and significant government investment, the hospital has not yet been able to operate.
The reason is critical: Hawariyat Hospital has no essential medical equipment.
Without surgical tools, diagnostic machines, maternity equipment, or hospital beds, this vital facility cannot provide the care its community urgently needs. The building stands ready but empty.
