Yodit Sahelu Seyoum, is the Founder and President of Kindova Humanitarian Organization, a nonprofit committed to empowering communities affected by conflict and hardship. With over a decade of experience in international finance, accounting, and nonprofit leadership, Yodit has transformed her expertise into a force for positive change. Her deep passion for social impact and firsthand experience witnessing the resilience of communities in need led her to establish Kindova as a platform for meaningful and lasting support for vulnerable populations in Ethiopia and beyond.
Throughout her career, Yodit has held pivotal roles at globally recognized organizations, including the United Nations, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the Open Technology Fund. She also served as the Director of Affiliate Accounting at ACDI/VOCA, one of the world’s leading nonprofit organizations dedicated to promoting economic growth and resilience in developing countries. Her roles provided her with valuable insight into the implementation of large-scale development projects, further fueling her commitment to making a meaningful difference.
Yodit earned her Master of Science in Accounting and Controlling from The Hague University of Applied Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Addis Ababa University. Her leadership at Kindova reflects a steadfast dedication to transparency, accountability, and sustainable change.

Mengistu Demsis Sifir is a dynamic and result-driven financial leader with over 15 years of proven success in Ethiopia’s banking sector. As a dedicated Board Member of Kindova Humanitarian Organization, he brings strategic financial insight, strong governance experience and a deep commitment to social impact.
Throughout his distinguished career with the commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Mengistu has held progressive leadership roles. His expertise spans branch operations, stakeholder relations, and team development. In every role, he has consistently delivered exceptional results driven operational excellence and championing ethical, customer-centered service.
At Kindova, Mengistu is a trusted voice in shaping financial strategy, ensuring transparency and supporting the successful delivery of humanitarian programs from clean water access to educational infrastructure and emergency response. His leadership plays a key role in helping the organization remain financially resilient and mission focused as it uplifts communities devastated by conflict.
He holds an MBA from Maryland International College, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Jimma University. Mengistu is passionate about creating meaningful change through sound financial stewardship and collective action. His unwavering dedication to service and empowerment makes him a vital part of Kindova’s mission to transform lives though kindness.
Halinish Yusuf is an accomplished development practitioner with over 15 years of experience in advancing sustainable livelihoods, natural resource management, and community resilience. Her extensive background spans both the private and public sectors, where she has led impactful initiatives through strategic planning, project management, community engagement, social assessment, and policy advocacy.
A passionate champion of socio-economic empowerment, climate change adaptation, and gender equity, Halinish has dedicated her career to driving meaningful change in underserved communities. Her expertise in fostering inclusive development and navigating complex challenges makes her an invaluable leader on the board of Kindova Humanitarian Organization.
Currently pursuing a PhD at Newcastle University, United Kingdom, Halinish’s research delves into the impacts of river sand mining on alluvial water aquifers of ephemeral rivers. Her work sheds light on the critical intersections of water resource resilience, dryland livelihoods, and environmental sustainability in the face of climate change and growing human activity.
Guided by a deep commitment to responsible resource management and social impact, Halinish Yusuf brings visionary leadership and invaluable insights to Kindova’s mission of empowering communities, fostering resilience, and creating sustainable change through kindness.
Allan Ebert brings over thirty years of experience in business development and law practice, both in the U.S. and internationally. His extensive leadership in establishing and managing diverse organizations, ranging from for-profit enterprises to nonprofit initiatives, has equipped him with the expertise and dedication essential for advancing Kindova Humanitarian Organization’s mission.
As a Board Member at Kindova, Allan contributes invaluable strategic insight and financial acumen. His background spans industries including language translation and interpretation, hospitality, maintenance services, and personal care, alongside a strong commitment to advocacy for democracy and human rights.
Throughout his career, Allan has organized and led impactful international missions. He has coordinated bipartisan election observation teams to Haiti for its Constitutional Referendum and Presidential elections, facilitated court observer delegations to Egypt during significant trials, and conducted a fact-finding mission to Somalia during the early stages of its civil war — later providing testimony before Congress. Additionally, Allan led an investor delegation to Belize, further demonstrating his ability to navigate complex global challenges.
Allan’s passion for humanitarian work, combined with his leadership experience and dedication to social justice, makes him a vital member of Kindova’s board.
