Introduction:
Kindova Humanitarian Organization is dedicated to offering hope and healing to those scarred by unimaginable trauma. In the aftermath of conflict, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) has deeply scarred Ethiopian communities, particularly in Amhara and Tigray, where thousands of mothers, daughters, and young girls have endured immense suffering. Families have been torn apart, and survivors are left to confront the shadows of their past.
But there is hope. Kindova has stood beside survivors, offering not just assistance, but a promise: a promise that they are not alone, that their voices matter, and that their healing is possible. With this expanded initiative, we seek to deliver life-changing interventions that foster resilience, restore dignity, and rebuild lives.
Why Your Support Matters:
Imagine the pain of a mother who cannot comfort her child, the fear of a girl who has lost trust in the world around her, or the silence of a survivor too afraid to seek justice. SGBV doesn’t just harm individuals; it fractures communities, stripping them of dignity, stability, and hope.
But we have the power to change this. Your support can help survivors step out of the shadows and into a future of healing and strength. Together, we can create safe spaces for recovery, provide life-saving medical and psychological care, and open doors to new opportunities that will help survivors reclaim their independence. Your support will help heal broken hearts and ignite a movement to end the cycle of violence once and for all.
Project Goal:
This project offers more than just assistance, it’s a lifeline. Our mission is to deliver holistic, survivor-centered care that addresses the physical and psychological needs of those impacted by SGBV. We aim to equip survivors with the tools to heal, rebuild, and emerge stronger. Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, we’ll support recovery and work to ensure that such atrocities never happen again.
With a focus on the Amhara and Tigray regions, where the impact of conflict has been particularly severe, we will stand as a pillar of hope for those who have been left in the darkness for far too long.
Project Cost:
To bring this vision to life, we need $325,000. This will allow us to provide trauma-informed medical and psychological care, vocational training, community awareness and prevention campaigns, and advocacy efforts. Every dollar you contribute is a step toward healing, ensuring survivors receive the care and opportunities they deserve. No contribution is too small, each one is a step toward healing and justice.
The Impact of Your Support:
Your generosity will create real, lasting change:
- Providing safe medical and psychological care for over 2,000 survivors in Amhara and Tigray, following a thorough assessment to determine the specific areas and populations affected by SGBV.
- Community awareness and advocacy campaigns that reach over 10,000 individuals, breaking the silence around SGBV.
- Stronger, more resilient communities that stand against gender-based violence and build a future of equality and safety.
How You Can Help:
Your support can be the turning point in someone’s life. A financial contribution will provide essential services that save lives and restore dignity. Businesses can collaborate through corporate partnerships to create job opportunities, provide funding, and supply resources for survivors’ recovery. Additionally, advocacy and awareness efforts help break the stigma surrounding SGBV, ensuring that survivors are heard and supported, no one should have to endure this pain alone.
