Introduction
In the aftermath of recent conflict, entire communities in Tigray, Ethiopia, have been devastated. Families have been displaced, homes destroyed, and livelihoods shattered. Among those most affected are women, widows, and displaced families who relied on honey production for income and sustenance. The Honey Production Initiative aims to address the urgent need for economic recovery and psychological healing by reintroducing honey production as a means of livelihood. By distributing 5,000 beehives to 2,500 beneficiaries, this initiative will provide economic support, restore hope, and rebuild the resilience of these communities.
Why Your Support Matters
The impact of the conflict on the local beekeeping community has been devastating. Many families are now unable to support themselves, and their mental health is deteriorating. This project offers a powerful way to restore hope, by reviving a once-thriving industry and providing families with a chance to regain their independence. Your support will not only provide the tools for economic recovery but also help heal the psychological scars left by the conflict. Together, we can provide a sustainable solution to both the financial and emotional challenges facing these communities.
